Sitting here watching someone's dog and I can't decide what I want to watch since I only have my lappy with me.   I found a thing that discussed the original novel behind ROP and it's interesting that the Zhiwei character seems like she was at least as ruthless as Ning Yi.  Bc in the drama version of ROP, they wove a certain ridiculous idealism into Zhiwei's character that allowed her to be offended far too much at the things Ning Yi did. And furthermore, led to the ridiculous ending where she decided she couldn't live with the trail of death that she and Ning Yi wrought.  Despite the fact that most of those deaths were due to others trying to kill THEM and those others often killed innocents who were in the way. Like Shaoning for example.

But don't let facts get in the way of your tragic ending. :B

I said I understood and even accepted the ending, but tbh, I like the idea of a Zhiwei who gave no fucks right along with Ning Yi. I also saw some promo pictures that highly implied Zhiwei and Ning Yi marrying after the latter became emperor, so I wonder whose ass they pulled that ending out of.

Aaaaanyway lol.  As I've been catching up on everything Chen Kun lately I watched the Mojin movie the other day. It was aight. Nothing amazing. Visuals were good but it was very short on plot and there was absolutely ZERO excuse for Chen Kun and Shu Qi's characters not to kiss at the end please.  I was also highly amused at the first flashback where all the dumb commie kids pulled down those old statues and got eaten alive by demonic insects. 8D  In things that should happen IRL.

I found Chongqing Hotpot on YT though and like Mojin, I've been wanting to see that for awhile too. It seems like a dark?? comedy of sorts and believe it or not, as hot as Chen Kun is, he's also quite funny.

I wanted to try Psych Hunter but it looks like my only real choice is those pirate sites bc it's not on YT and it's only available for IQIYI VIP.  My gosh it's so annoying though whenever I go to shoutboxes on MDL and have to watch a bunch of dumb girlies bitching about female characters in dramas. Like, just say you hate women and go.  No one ever ranks on the annoying male characters as if there's not any. They are always saying the female characters are in the way of their perceived bromance lmao, like sorry to inform you, but guys can be close close best friends and still be into girls. sTUpid incels.

Twitter is so boring mid-afternoon my time like everyone's asleep. One of the many things I hate about stan twt is when ppl defend their fave by dragging the person's fave who's dragging THEIR fave. As if that makes it better or makes any kind of difference. Been constantly seeing Chanyeol fans drag Chen in response to presumably Chen fans dragging him and it's like????  Kay. Now you're a trash idiot too yay. I also don't understand why PCY fans have to insist that his ~scandal~ was definitely not true. It's like the Jim Jones nonsense with Suga. The best way to shut these idiots up is just say you don't care. I don't care if PCY cheated on his girlfriend with every hot girl in Seoul. I seriously do not.  I don't care that Suga used a sample of a Jim Jones sermon. I still have that copy on my hard drive and listen to it all the time.

These are not real problems, you weirdos. Where PCY sticks his dick has no affect on your life. Jim Jones is dead. A sample of him saying some random verse in the Bible won't hurt you. If you didn't know who was saying it, you'd be none the wiser. Knowing changes nothing except in your stupid head.

I saw some quote from Suga that was so wise. THe gist of it was something like, most of your problems are in your head. He was talking about himself like, he realized that most of his perceived problems were in his head and that's exactly right. Too many people let foolish shit get to them.

As if there weren't enough comebacks on the way here in October, a bunch more were more or less confirmed last night.  I think I saw Seventeen, Taemin (for like the third time lol), SF9 and Monsta X.  Oh whoops and now I've just seen UP10TION is coming back as well lol.  Plus Twice and Exid are supposed to comeback soon as well.  Tbh, other than Taemin, I most want a CBX comeback ahahah.  But considering SM has pushed Taemin's back like three times now, Idek.

So Twitter is workshopping 280 characters and they plan to roll it out to everyone and I can't wait.  It's so annoying how using Chinese, Japanese or Korean you can get across way more complex thoughts but in English you're usually stuck mutilating words or grammar and/or writing multiple tweets.  People are actually mad about this for some reason though.  Like why?  Who's forcing you to use 280 characters?  What's it to you if other ppl want to use them?  So annoying.

As far as I know, the hxc BTS fans stan the album without reservations, I think it's the casual fans like moi who hate where they've gone with Wings and now this one.  This person was all, they've done soft and poppy before.  Ok, yes they have, but the vast majority of their disco is rap-heavy.  Furthermore, the soft and poppy is less the issue vs how they don't have the vocal ability to pull that off in any way shape or form.  And people keep arguuuuuing about this, which is hilarious. I mean, that's nice that you like it, but it doesn't change the fact that it's WEAK.

Also some people, like moi, hate soft and poppy.  Because that's honestly what it is, fluffy and twee.  EXO has ballads or softer songs, kinda, but I guess bc they have such powerful vocals it's hard to classify them the same.  Combining weak and airy falsetto with shrill music is just literally headache-inducing.  There's only two Exo songs I actually hate and those are Wolf bc it's noisy and awful, and Playboy bc it sounds like a Jonghyun solo song.  It doesn't fit them at all.  He should have kept that song for himself or even for SHINee, keep it away from EXO lol.

One of the funniest things to me is when fans get all suspicious of inside info.  It's like they don't believe there's anyone close to idols who know stuff.  Which is honestly a stupid, naive position to take.  If I had a dollar for all the things ifans doubted in VK only to later have them proven true.  You figure, all the staff and stylists that work with multiple idols on a regular basis, plus have access to information networks among others who work with them.  It's not fucking hard to believe that they know stuff.  To me it's way less likely that they would sit there and make up detailed stories about each member.  Not to mention, some of the stuff I read, considering what happened later, it rings even more true.  Fandom loves to bury this shit and ignore it though lol.

I'm actually pretty dang good at reading people and I've had my assessments proven correct multiple times and most of what I read from these inside info people seems really accurate.  Fans really need to understand that the person you're seeing on camera is not the same person off-camera.  There are things you can look for for clues to their real personalities, but it's definitely not 100% what you're seeing on camera.

Yeah so I had a hilariously dumb argument on Twitter last night.  These people who think they're Idk, super woke or whatever are super funny.  Basically dude was like, I weed out people from my life by criticizing them and checking their reactions.  Him (presumably) implying that people who can't take criticism are sociopaths.  Which like, ok, that is one of many signs.  But then I'm like, what happens if the person doesn't CARE about your criticism?  Bc like, there are maybe a scant handful of people in my life whose criticism I actually care about, and they're all family members.

So then, like these ppl are wont to do, he introduces a straw man!  Which was something like, well if I'm criticizing your outfit vs you beating your dog.  This is a straw man bc honestly why would you even be remotely considering having someone in your life who beats their dog?  Then he tried to say it wasn't a blanket statement but a generalization and I'm like, fucking DUDE, that's exactly what a blanket statement is.  I was pretty much done with the convo at that point bc if you don't even know basic meanings for words I can't talk to you lmao.

As an INTJ, I have a variety of subtle tests to fit this purpose.  One of them is me saying grossly exaggerated things designed to provoke an angry emotional reaction.  If you give it to me, I cross you out as someone worth talking too.  If you don't, then I'm like cool, you're not an emotional retard.

The other funny thing was a friend who likes Big Bang seeming kinda salty that I mentioned my liking for catmen, but didn't include BB members?  Like, dude I really know very little about them aside from surface stuff and I further have no desire to find out.  That's kinda how it works when you don't like a group lmao.  That being said, the one I probably hate the least is GD and I've defended him a couple of times over stupid things.  Namely the age gap relationship and that laundry tag thing.  I really am not one of those ppl who, when they don't like someone, immediately hates everything they do.  Or, conversely, if I like someone, I don't immediately support and love everything they do.  Even if it's impossible to be 100% objective, I honestly strive for it.

Lol anyway, in Kpop things.  I'm totally planning to get the War, but looking over their previous release patterns I feel like I should wait for the repackage.  I mean, imagine missing out on Lotto for example.  I'll be mad though if the extra songs are ballads or something though bc that's half why I love that album so much, only one real ballad on it.  A 9 song album with only one ballad, like that is amazing.
