But LJ is down right now so here I am. Just noticed someone reblogged my Killer Healer photo compilation with a tag essay about how bad the show supposedly was lol like ok, it wasn't perfect, but it what it was a superior shounen ai that wasn't overly pandering and featured two MEN and not one who was basically a woman like so many of the female writers do. The ones with the internalized misogyny lmao. BL fans mostly have mush for brains ngl. I can't believe how many people were actually romanticizing the awful twisted relationship between the opera singer and that nasty director dude who killed and manipulated so many people and basically tortured the opera guy until he died. There was ZERO reason to like that relationship. It was toxic and abusive.

Netflix needs to remove that Word of Honor splash from my homepage. I have NO interest.

Anyway, def prob gonna watch Inuyashiki next.  Places to watch:

https://fulltube.online/inuyashiki-2018/

 https://kissasians.org/detail/inuyashiki/  ;

I see it's on Japanese Netflix, but I got rid of my VPN so i can't switch regions and who knows if it would have subs anyway.  I really hate how hard Japanese stuff is to find and I always end up regretting tryna get into it again lmao. But fffffffffffffff I've stanned Sato Takeru since I first saw him in the first Kenshin movie that's almost 10 years wow. He was already remarkably mature as an actor I thought back then, but even more now, it will be so interesting to see him in the last two Kenshin movies. It's funny though bc i spent the last 10 years kinda looking out for his appearance in dramas and I did watch Bitter Blood when it came out but like...he really hasn't been in many dramas at ALL. Not since Kenshin anyway.  Only like sixish?

But he's done a lot of movies.   And ofc I mean five Kenshin movies lol. I'd like to see him in more cop stuff like Bitter Blood though slkdfjldk. That was so funny even though it was pretty simplistic. But like, Kame has been in a lot of stuff like that and I feel like Sato should be too.  Don't ask it's bc when I first saw him, I really thought for half a second until I saw his name that he was Kame's brother. I still feel like they have similar features but not as much as I did lmao.

In Kpop nonsense lol there was an article that said HYBE tried to buy SM last year and i SNORTED. That would have been so funny. Now that I'm on the outside, I find the stupid egg obsession with hating on BTS to be ridiculous. Ofc, not to say that BTS fans are in any way smarter about their discourse but still. Eggs are coming from a dumb place considering SM has destroyed the cohesive fandom and the group with their hybrid mockery attempt at a BTS group appealing to the West. So they deserve it.

Sitting here watching someone's dog and I can't decide what I want to watch since I only have my lappy with me.   I found a thing that discussed the original novel behind ROP and it's interesting that the Zhiwei character seems like she was at least as ruthless as Ning Yi.  Bc in the drama version of ROP, they wove a certain ridiculous idealism into Zhiwei's character that allowed her to be offended far too much at the things Ning Yi did. And furthermore, led to the ridiculous ending where she decided she couldn't live with the trail of death that she and Ning Yi wrought.  Despite the fact that most of those deaths were due to others trying to kill THEM and those others often killed innocents who were in the way. Like Shaoning for example.

But don't let facts get in the way of your tragic ending. :B

I said I understood and even accepted the ending, but tbh, I like the idea of a Zhiwei who gave no fucks right along with Ning Yi. I also saw some promo pictures that highly implied Zhiwei and Ning Yi marrying after the latter became emperor, so I wonder whose ass they pulled that ending out of.

Aaaaanyway lol.  As I've been catching up on everything Chen Kun lately I watched the Mojin movie the other day. It was aight. Nothing amazing. Visuals were good but it was very short on plot and there was absolutely ZERO excuse for Chen Kun and Shu Qi's characters not to kiss at the end please.  I was also highly amused at the first flashback where all the dumb commie kids pulled down those old statues and got eaten alive by demonic insects. 8D  In things that should happen IRL.

I found Chongqing Hotpot on YT though and like Mojin, I've been wanting to see that for awhile too. It seems like a dark?? comedy of sorts and believe it or not, as hot as Chen Kun is, he's also quite funny.

I wanted to try Psych Hunter but it looks like my only real choice is those pirate sites bc it's not on YT and it's only available for IQIYI VIP.  My gosh it's so annoying though whenever I go to shoutboxes on MDL and have to watch a bunch of dumb girlies bitching about female characters in dramas. Like, just say you hate women and go.  No one ever ranks on the annoying male characters as if there's not any. They are always saying the female characters are in the way of their perceived bromance lmao, like sorry to inform you, but guys can be close close best friends and still be into girls. sTUpid incels.

Twitter is so boring mid-afternoon my time like everyone's asleep. One of the many things I hate about stan twt is when ppl defend their fave by dragging the person's fave who's dragging THEIR fave. As if that makes it better or makes any kind of difference. Been constantly seeing Chanyeol fans drag Chen in response to presumably Chen fans dragging him and it's like????  Kay. Now you're a trash idiot too yay. I also don't understand why PCY fans have to insist that his ~scandal~ was definitely not true. It's like the Jim Jones nonsense with Suga. The best way to shut these idiots up is just say you don't care. I don't care if PCY cheated on his girlfriend with every hot girl in Seoul. I seriously do not.  I don't care that Suga used a sample of a Jim Jones sermon. I still have that copy on my hard drive and listen to it all the time.

These are not real problems, you weirdos. Where PCY sticks his dick has no affect on your life. Jim Jones is dead. A sample of him saying some random verse in the Bible won't hurt you. If you didn't know who was saying it, you'd be none the wiser. Knowing changes nothing except in your stupid head.

I saw some quote from Suga that was so wise. THe gist of it was something like, most of your problems are in your head. He was talking about himself like, he realized that most of his perceived problems were in his head and that's exactly right. Too many people let foolish shit get to them.

I've been heavily thinking about starting You Are My Hero (Bai Jingting and Ma Sichun) for awhile now, and I finally decided to when i saw a moot on Twitter mention it and that it looked like a DOTS ripoff. That's what i thought too tbh but ig it's based on an original novel so...  I've never seen DOTS, though I thought about starting it back when it came out. But the premise IS kinda the same: a surgeon girl and a special forces guy fall in love against the backdrop of war or natural disaster kinda thing. The difference I guess is that this guy is SWAT and clearly the natural disaster or war or whatever that forces them together doesn't happen until later in the drama. Also, I think the persona of the guy is different as well. The guy in YAMH, Captain Xing Kelei, is kind of the "mean male lead" trope.

Though, in my opinion, I just realized last night when I was watching ep.5 that he is basically Gu Nanyi relocated to the modern era lmao. There ARE some differences, but there are a lot of similarities too. Like the fact that he's just good at everything physical and becomes weird and awkward when he has to have too much social interaction. So yeah anyway I've gone through 5 episodes. It's on Viki. There's a lot of random medical stuff, which is not something I like. One of my most hated drama genres is medical lmao. But there is also lots of action and gun fights apparently based on the last one I watched huhu.

Lol one of my thoughts last night when I was watching though, I was like, damn this drama is SO straight. Mainly bc Kelei is that perfect alpha cool guy who's super strong and good at everything. Like if you're a woman with even only one straight bone in your body, this guy is hot. But plus, the side couple is the same way, except Shu Wenbo is a lot more chivalric and nice compared to Kelei.

I did go back to Lost in 49 so I could swoon over Chen Kun some more. Zhicai and Liwen are annoying, but not nearly as annoying as Ning Yi and Zhiwei. I've got 20 episodes left on that one now.

Istg fujoshis are such pathetic misogynistic weirdos. I'm so sick of these C-ent accts I follow constantly posting shit about Word of Honor. It looks like cheap trash. Bad acting, bad fight choreo, stupid story, etc.  Like what even is the point. As far as i can see, it's just a way for crappy actors that no one would bother casting to get work. I actually do the opposite. I avoid everything they're in. Except Xiao Zhan bc his fandom did some serious damage to fujoshi land lmao.

See, I have nothing against shounen ai in principle, hell I even write it myself, but I have something against it in practice, i.e. in terms of what a bunch of straight female incels drool over. Bc they make it all heteronormative and fetishize the relationships.  And most of these BL Cdramas are totally pathetic lacks of chemistry with goofy lines that just sort of give the fujoshis license to believe there's an actual intimate relationship there lmao. It's really lame.

I can't wait to angrily try that bat drama with Mao Zijun so I can mercilessly mock it if it fits any of the above parameters. I mean, tbh, even though I enjoyed Killer Healer, it was mainly bc of the Jiang Yuelou character and the overall story. I can fully admit that onscreen, him and Ian Yi had almost zero chemistry once again. It was very onesided. It's kinda funny bc offscreen, I watched a lot of interviews and stuff, and they were cute and funny together. So, to a certain extent, I blame the lack of chemistry on the constraints of the doctor character, but it doesn't change the fact that it was barely there and I fully admit it.
