In sportsball, that whole thing with Yu Darvish and the Astros player making the slant-eyed gesture at him after hitting a home run.  Like that in and of itself was disturbing, but tbh even more disturbing was the discourse following.  LIke, I cannot believe how many people saw absolutely no problem with this.  I've said for a long time that a sort of passive racism against Asians in this country is not only acceptable but apparently encouraged.  Astros fans actually gave the loser a standing O in last night's game and there were shots of fans doing the same gesture as if to what, tell us all that it's ok?  I mean, just imagine if what he did was mouth the n-word on camera, like what would the reaction be to that?  Probably not the same.  And his apology was bullshit.  He pretty much said he knew it was offensive but sorry if anyone was offended.

And then, if you didn't think it could get any dumber, oh it can, the people bringing up politics into it.  People on the right being all, oh you're just a whiny liberal if you find that offensive.  And people on the left going, well this is all due to Republicans being in power.  Like srsly?  Shut up and sit down.  Number one, the Astros dude is not even from this country so Republicans being in power had nothing to do with his personal bigotry.  Number two, don't act like this specific form of racism (nm all the other kinds) has been around and encouraged for a very long time so don't pretend like it just appeared.

Then for the other side, good to know that you're basically saying a human having respect for another human is something defined by left and right and you're essentially saying your side has none of it.  Good to know that thinking someone shouldn't be mocked for their race is being a whiny liberal.  Nm all the people who were mad about it and identifying as NOT liberals.  Istg you can't discuss anything anymore without these politics-baiting nincompoops.  Tired of it.

I'm also really fucking tired of ifandom loudly insisting that 4D guys in groups are gay.  Like, let me know how that worked out for you with Hyunseung hey?  Not only that but so you're basically saying that gay people are weird and being a weirdo or socially inept makes you gay.  That's good to know, weird = gay ok.  That reminds me of idiots in high school literally always whispering about so-called "weirdos" being gay.  It's frankly pretty insulting to say that gay people are always weird and can't be the perfectly "normal" ones.

An with Sehun for example, it seems extra dumb bc did you all miss that bit where he was asked about appearing on 'We Got Married' with a guy and he said "why would you say something that doesn't even make sense?"

This is new, a sports post.  So my favorite player in Yu Darvish got traded to a team I can't stand lol.  I'd gotten attached to the Rangers in the last five years, so I'm really unhappy about this.  But I think what I might be even MORE unhappy about is that the Rangers clearly gave up on this season.  They ain't making it to the postseason trading one of their best pitchers.  That's really lame considering they are not technically out of it.  They have the same record as the O's and they actually acquired two players and did not lose Britton.  ON the other hand, you can't imagine the rage I have when they trot out Jimenez every four starts like I'm just seeing red especially today lol.  Either way, it makes me pretty much not care about baseball until the postseason when I will grudgingly watch Darvish and hope he does good, but otherwise root for the Dodgers to fail lol..  THEN I'll hope he signs with a better team in the offseason.  That's all he is right now is a rental.  One of the most annoying things about baseball tbqh.

Ok, that was short so now I can talk about Hyunseung and the amazing mellowness of the JJ Project and 용국&시현 albums that came out today.  I've literally been repeating them all day bc they're so nice.  You know I hate ballads, but these aren't ballads, just really chill downtempo jams without a bunch of dramatic oversinging.  I love both of them right now.

Ah then so Hyunseung wrote out a long apology on his Instagram, taking responsibility for leaving Beast and how that all went down.  Tbh, I've suspected for awhile that this was mostly all on his end.  That's why I haven't exactly been able to dislike Beast (except the rapper, I have a kneejerk dislike for him that I can't entirely explain).  I've also gotten the impression that HS is extremely stubborn, like don't let his quietness fool you lol.  But that's the thing, sometimes you have to fail to realize where you're making mistakes.  That's just life.  Sometimes you can't see the forest for the trees, or your pride gets in the way.  He wanted more and he was short-sighted in how to best go about getting that.

But see the thing is, not many people come to these realizations and ever apologize to the people they hurt along the way.  Not only that, but HS literally did not have to do that.  I'm sure he's fully aware of how many fans hate him now (unjustified tbh) and I'm sure he knows that his stans have moved past that.  So there's no late or ulterior motives, he did NOT have to give anyone this and he could have easily apologized to Beast privately.  So I really don't understand how anyone can throw this back in his face.  It took guts and maybe stop for a second and imagine you did something similar.  Would you have the guts to publicly apologize?  I don't think many people would.  Especially if you didn't need to.  I'm sure he knows that it's not going to win him any fans bc after 1.5 years, those fans have already made up their minds.  But he did it anyway.  That's important.

I stan the right guy. :)

I don't understand the hype over NCT 127 at ALL. I guess this is why SM antis hate SM stans so much bc they really are ridiculous.  I'm not so much an SM anti, I can't be since I like Taemin, SHINee and NCT 127 (yes I like them, but I also think they're overrated), but I definitely don't like the company either based on what they did to the Chinese Exo members for example, plus, other than giving most of their idols decent vocal training, what do they do that's so unique?  I don't hear/see anything.  But back to NCT 127.  I can't believe the constant splooge over this group when I see very little that sets them apart from any other group with three minis to their name.  The new one, Cherry Bomb, was probably their best so far, though the title track was boring af.  Video was also boring af.  Rn, they would get my vote as the top most overrated new Kpop group.

Anyway, Jongup finally started his promotions and amg that first stage was super hot.  Not much new from Pentagon yet.  I've watched I think two perfs of their new song, but it could have been the same one aired by different networks I'm not sure lol.  I need more bc I love that choreo sfm.  YesAsia finally has all my Pentagon stuff in too so hopefully it will ship soon ahahah.  Fingers super crossed that I get Edawn in any member specific crap. Was trying to figure out where this addiction lies on my Kpop addiction scale. I'm not sure, but I think it's trending towards pretty epic. Probably second only to GOT7.

Dragged myself away from Kpop on YT last night to watch the new Lookout eps.  Show is flawfree.  Kim Young Kwang is so perfect in this role, his expressions are so sinister.  Plus I love how he goes from annoying ditz to ruthless guy bent on revenge.  I haven't caught up with Mask at all.  Who knows when/if I will.

Warriors won the Finals a few days ago.  People who think sports are rigged are really amusing. They are also, inevitably, people who do not actually watch sports or know much about them lol.  Short of some vast amazing conspiracy, it's a lot less possible than you think.  THere's a lot of freaking variables, especially in baseball, but honestly, in every sport.  To imagine that people are playacting it takes a mighty big stretch of the imagination.  And people who think this have no evidence except for what, coaches having military backgrounds?  Like, what?  You don't think that might help in managing large groups of alpha males and concocting strategies? Nah.

Now, do I think there's some attempt at fixing going on in certain games? Absolutely.  Nothing is ever as pure as you want it to be. Nothing.
