Well, it was only yesterday that I finished Psych Hunter and boooooooooyo was I disappointed. Like, it was oddly the most deflating feeling the end of that show. With no ToTC to watch, i felt like i was in a total show hole. Then I randomly picked up Minghao's very first drama, but I'll talk about that later lol. Mainly I have to discuss Psych Hunter and there will be spoilers bc idc lol.  First of all, idk whether the ending was from the book it was based on or not. If it WAS, then that was the most cheaty bad writer way out ever. Like he/she couldn't figure out an ending and decided to go with the absolute worst exit strategy ever: it was just a dream.

The other option is that the censors murdered it in order to explain the supernatural aspects to it. That's incredibly weird and petty if so but i have heard that they try to keep that stuff out of dramas, which is why they're always lying in Lost Tomb about what's going on.

But basically, after 34 episodes of getting attached to all the characters and looking forward to a resolution on Liu Zhi and everything else. Maybe finding out why Jiang Shou was his disciple and why he had psychic powers or whatever, they completely collapsed it and threw us back to the future where a Jiang Shou and Dr. Qin that we have no reason to care about are patient and doctor, and the entire show has been nothing but JS's fever dream where he fights with his alternate personality.

To add insult to injury, the actual ending is completely open-ended. They wake up, but Qin says that it's a 50-50 chance whether the real JS wakes up or his alternate. And that's it. Judging by the sinister look on JS's face too it looks like the alternate won, which is even WORSE bc then the whole thing was even MORE pointless lmao.

It's like going on a journey with a goal in mind and when you get to the end, you realize that the goal was never feasible and you did it for nothing. This is totally different from the vaguely unsatisfying endings of say, ROP and UTP, this ending literally negated the entire drama. It really sucks lol bc i was really enjoying this drama and looking forward to the resolution.

Anyway...so now I'm randomly watching this Cambrian Period thing mainly bc I'm sugoi addicted to ToTC and am waiting for episodes and need something trashy to waste time. Idk that this is a particularly good drama even, but Minghao is impressive for his first drama and being only 20 at the time and whatnot. It's funny tho bc physically, he looks very manly, he's quite broad, etc, but his faaaaaaaaaaace looks really young lol.  There's not a lot to choose from in his back catalog, but it looks like he has a lot of stuff coming up at least.

Ok I am officially seriously tired of all the hate that Baekhyun is constantly getting over literally NOTHING.  Like plenty of people pointed out on AKP of all places, no normal person goes to internet boards to complain about being harassed on the phone.  They shut off their damn phone and report it or something.  More than likely that was the actual idiot who called him and was trying to deflect attention.  In fact, if you really want to know my opinion, I think it wasn't an EXO crazy at all, but probably from a certain OTHER fandom who actually set out to make Baek look bad.

This is the second stupid thing he's had to apologize for that wasn't his fault.

I'm SO fucking salty.

There's some Japanese albums out, or that will be coming out, that I'm interested in hearing.  So I pulled up my bookmarks to find my Jmusic dl sites and subsequently found out that they're gone.  I guess I picked the right time to lose interest bc if Japan is going to srsly make it that difficult to listen to their music, then I give up.  IMagine realizing that on the same day that Namie Amuro, JPop queen, announces she's gonna retire next year.

But check out all the ways Japan forcefully LIMITS a foreigner's ability to listen to their music:

- Can't buy anything digitally at iTunes or Amazon without jumping through hoops

- IMporting shit is more or less expensive af depending on the yen conversion

- Limited selection on Spotify and just like the digital dl places, there's a separate Spotify Japan that you can't access

- Now they're apparently cracking down on downloads

Yeah so, honestly, I more or less give up.  There's a few albums I have interest in hearing, which I'll probably either buy or hit up PSCK, which makes me wonder about that service and how legal it is and if it isn't, when will IT be cracked down on.  Those albums are really just Junno, Spyair and UVERworld lol.  I've been going on a deleting spree too for my harddrive music bc I started to realize that I'm probably not going to listen to at least half of it ever again.

Idk if this is the fault of Kpop or if I just got tired over being an OCD hoarder of music that i listen to once and be like YAS and then never touch it again lol.

IN Kpop news though, GOT7 is coming back next month and I'm at once excited and apprehensive.  I still feel like the Jackson thing hasn't revealed its ending yet.  I hope not, but...

I was trying to figure out how EXO shot into my number one group spot, but I think I got it (shawty I got it).  Basically, I went into GOT7 and Pentagon with a clear bias and to this day, I still don't have anyone in either group that is even close to the members I bias.  GOT7 seem fairly close, but Pentagon aren't all that funny together probably bc they're not.  But EXO, I lowkey didn't like, or thought I didn't, so it was all music for awhile.  The only members I knew were Baekhyun, Lay and Kai.  I liked the former two bc of seeing them in shows.  But the more I got sucked in, it was never immediately clear who I stanned the most, and even now though it's Baek, Xiumin and Chen are bias wreckers extraordinaire and ofc I still like Lay and now Chanyeol and Sehun.  I don't exactly hate Kai, but I still sometimes forget Suho and DO exist lol.

I do this though, and especially with a group like EXO that I lowkey hated for some time.  I tried to avoid and insist that they weren't crawling up my bias list (creepin in your heart babe), but it didn't work and now look where I am lmao.

Completely caught up with Bride of Habaek and it's halfway through.  Pretty glad this is a full hour drama instead of those 35 minute things, that was actually annoying.  But anyway, I love it so far and even though it's moved relatively slowly, it hasn't been boring.  I'm already waiting impatiently for Monday lol.  Finally got around to starting the King Loves and...ugh, Idk about it.  Contrary to popular opinion, I like Yoona quite a lot, but if this is going to be another set-up ship with HJH as the third wheel who then dies tragically, I am 100% not here for that.  That's why I dropped Master of the Mask and it turned out EXACTLY how I thought it would upon reading recaps.  Like, I literally knew what would happen.  That is not good storytelling folks.

Ofc then there's the ones that are so convoluted that sure you don't know where they're going, but you also don't CARE.  For example, that I Hear Your Voice drama, that was really good bc it wasn't convoluted at all, but I couldn't be sure where it was going and I also couldn't be sure that Lee Jong Suk was going to get the girl.  At times I really thought she'd go for the guy her age and the kid would give up or die or something lol.  That's all I ask, is that bit of uncertainty where you don't know exactly if what you  hope happens will.

So yeaaaah, I'll probably give it a few more episodes to try to convince me that the story won't be predictable af.  Honestly, I kinda want to go back and finish SHR.  I only quit it back then bc I knew Baek was gonna die and I didn't like it lol.  I think I'm over it though and I do want to see what happens with So so I never read any recaps.  Same with that mermaid thing.  My top 5 most likely restarts are probably:

1.Mystic Nine
2.SHR
3.The mermaid thing
4.Ice Fantasy
5.Wu Xin

In Kpop news, Hyunseung finally released his single with p.much zero promo by Cube until the day before.  Loooool, it's so ridiculous.  I really hope that's a prerelease though and there's an album out there somewhere.  I can't believe they would really put him in the dungeon for two years and then only give him a measly single with no promo.  Like how much do they hate him and what kind of masochist is HE that he resigned with them?

I saw an insta post with Hyuna seemingly recording.  By herself though, so so much for my plot twist where Triple H came back instead ahahah.  Idk if I posted about it before, but the KARD album grew on me quite a bit.  LIke, I guess I expected something different bc of all the hype, but now that I'm over it, I like what they're doing.

Ugh, I finally finished Suspicious Partner and I srsly felt like I wasted half the show.  I mean, half the show was wasted.  Or something.  BASICALLY THEY COULD HAVE FOUND THAT ENDING A LOT QUICKER DANGIT.  It started out so well, there was chemistry between the leads, the killer was sinister and then it just all went to crap.  And they literally left the ENTIRE plot to the last Idk, 4 episodes or so.  That could have worked if anything else was interesting, but it literally wasn't.  All I wanted to know was why fucking Hyunsoo was killing people. THAT'S ALL.  I couldn't care less about Noh and Eun getting together or the other guy and Cha or whatever else bc they sucked at making that interesting.

What a stupid fugly pointless drama for JCW to be in before he enlists.  I'm so mad. >:[

That reminds me that I need to find Fabricated City though.

Ok, the twist was kinda twisty, but I was so mad at that point that it didn't even matter.  I was like, you fucking took 38 EPISODES TO GET TO THIS JINJJA WEI.

Anyway new shows new shows.  I forgot the King Loves with HJH is airing now and I did kinda want to at least try Bride of the Water God and Istg I'm so done with prosecution law dramas for awhile and you better not @ me with any romcoms for awhile either.  I just can't with dramas that start so promising and then end shitty.  Things were going so well, what with Tunnel and Chief Kim. I thought I was on a roll.
