bingo_a I really think that Lay is gonna leave EXO in the near future. Like...I'm not happy about that at all lol. I was rewatching Lotto promos last night where he was the main dancer and Kai wasn't even there and ermg so much more enjoyable lol. But anyway, the EXO Schedule Twitter reported that Lay won't be involved in the Japanese section of their tour. And I was just kinda like...y'all are surprised? It's exactly like Jackson right now. Which, btw, I'm suspicious that he's going to leave too, but otoh, Lay has two solo efforts plus acting that presumably SM is getting a cut of. Why keep him in EXO? But they denied like heck all the way up until those other three left too so. Ofc, I also don't think he'll leave in that capacity, but rather become permanently MIA like that one Suju guy.
Like I said, I'm not happy about it, but I don't see any point in deluding myself on it either. Like I've seen some really angry fans that are projecting obviously their feelings on how Lay supposedly feels about it, but the thing is, if he leaves or becomes the MIA member it'll be because he wanted it not bc SM forced him. There's a reason he stuck around when the other three didn't.
Which, btw, it's really interesting how those leaks from before those three left, hinted that all three of them were having a hard time in various capacities and I remember one even said that they weren't made of stern enough stuff and would leave before too long. Obviously they turned out to be right, which lends credibility to the leaks in any case.
I'll definitely miss his dancing and his voice, but tbqh, their stages look a lot tighter when there's only eight of them. They're never tight enough in sync like say Pentagon so having one less member somehow makes it look better. Like I said, Lotto promos without Kai and obviously these recent ones without Lay.
