Hideaway say you're okay

I was never able to do this back then, but it's nice to like L'arc without being in the fandom and thus, not influenced by any of the ridiculousness that goes on, went on. Fandoms ruin shit, man. For example, I've recently realized that I really like their last three albums and not to take anything away from earlier ones, but it's possible I just wore them out back then lol. Smile is still dull though. There was literally only three good songs and that's if you have the Tofu version which included Spirit Dreams Inside. A song I've always been partial to for some reason. Thing is, they obviously changed their sound/approach what have you after Smile and I think the fandom, me included to a certain extent, just couldn't deal with it.
Seeecondly, Hyde. I actually really like VAMPS, in spite of the fact that I rather hate Kaz's guitarwork, but it's less obnoxious somehow than it was in his solo, specifically Faith. It's hilarious, but I really think that album was awful and vastly prefer 666. Back then, my opinion was the opposite lol. The first VAMPS album kinda continued that too, which is why I think the second one is WAY better. Even now, I hardly listen to the first one, mostly the second one. Another reason for that is because Hyde finally figured out how to sing "rock" in a way that is convincing and doesn't sound like an emo teenager. Frankly, I'd say his voice is better than ever, if not always his technique. Though it was on like fuck in the 15th L'anni thing, which was sort of my re-induction and I was kinda blown away by how he good he was there. Perfect, almost.
I also had occasion to check out his Best of solo thing and barring a few craps from Faith, it really did showcase his best stuff, including the Dist songs and my two faves from Roentgen. Which, unpopular opinion time, that was really a boring as fuck album, Idk why everyone creams themselves over it.. But unlike just about everyone else, I have NEVER liked Hyde's jazzyfart songs. I like jazz too, just not those elevator, adult-contemporary crapfests. Tbh, I think 666 is my favorite solo album from him. Faith was trying to be way too pretentious for the level of talent involved. 666 was simple and whatever, the sort of thing I expect from Hyde lol.
Anyway, I don't really care about L'arc as a band like I did back then. I like their music, but I'm not pretending I care about any of them lol. Except Hyde because he's an attractive bastard and I really do love his voice, as much as I tried to deny it. Also, Yuki, poor striving-to-be-normal Yuki.
