Watched the Universe MV and it was aight. The album is much better. It's all chill and mellow with a lot of "real" instruments and everyone sounds good, except someone had a strained falsetto in Lights Out, I suspect Suho but I won't know until I see the line distribution. I love Been Through, in fact, it was the only song I really loved after the first listen, but now that I've listened to it all several times, I also really like Fall and Stay. Universe, compared to their other winter title songs, ranks second for me. Miracles in December is still the fucking king lol.
I really liked the star art in the digital booklet. The messages were funny, bc Baek's was generic af and really short, the shortest in fact, and then Chen's was the longest and had meaningful words lol. Then my second favorite ship, ChanKai, both felt the need to introduce themselves despite the fact that the messages were already literally under their names. 🤣
Also there was this in the MV:
Guess what is now my profile pic on Twitter, plus one of the starscapes for the header. 8D Hahah I've been wanting to change it since Idk late last month, it's been up since October, which is when I set it up bc of the Exordium release. I don't usually like to keep the same layouts forever unless they're a pain to change for whatever reason.
OH I also heard a full...albeit ratchet version of Electric Kiss. Someone spliced the extra minute from a concert recording so it wasn't even all that clear, but that's all that was missing, a minute and I don't even think it added all that much. I was most happy to hear that Baek's evil laughter still ends the song.
