Ifans have always disgusted me, even though I'm technically one lol.  I think I reached the highest levels of disgust when that Tanuki blog started posting on Tumblr and basically revealed all the accepted-as-fact VK rumors to be false crap made up by ifans.  At least, I thought it was high levels of disgust.  Then I found Kpop fandom lmao.  Onehallyu is being hella weird in that I can't sign up, but I've been lurking like hell and most people on that forum seem completely reasonable compared to everywhere else I've been.  AKP has some rationality, but it's tempered by a lot of nutjobs.  Omona is completely full of SJW nutjobs  and I like that OH actually talked about how much they didn't like Omona lol.

But I have two things, well, probably loads more than two and these are kind of related anyway.  But ok, the propensity for ifans to believe that like 70% of Asian music stars are gay.   I realize some of it is just irrational shippers, but actually I think this is a more wider held idea than we'd like to think.  I can't remember if I addressed it here, but there's a gross tendency for Western fans to desexualize Asian men and infantilize Asian girls.  That's why you see all this nonsense about girls having sexy concepts "forced" on theme bc God forbid girls actually enjoy sexy stuff too, or acting like they don't have the brains or maturity to know what they want in a guy, see: any girl caught dating a much older guy.  She's being taken advantage of!  What a creep he is!  Etc.  Or like, maybe the girl really likes him bc she can make her own decisions as an 18+ adult????  Whoa what a concept.

I can't even touch the iceberg of desexualizing Asian men, bc that's been going on so long it's not even funny.  And worse, no one ever wants to talk about it except Asian men themselves.  I just think it's particularly gross to see it coming from people who are supposedly fans of Asian entertainment.  The worst part is the "evidence" these dumb fans use to make guys gay.  It's usually based on Western cultural stereotypes with complete ignorance to what the other cultures are like.  It's been said over and over by those of us who know, but the gay stereotype in East Asian cultures is a bear kinda guy.  Like Ken Hirai (who is wiiiiidely rumored to be gay among Jfans).  Or if you watch Boss there was a gay male character in there and he's like this burly dude with a beard.  It's not the Flower Boy look.  And you can't convince me that Jo Kwon is not gay and look how buff he is.  So when Ifans use a guy's love of fashion or supposedly "feminine" appearance or awkward behavior as evidence that he's gay, it's really just showing how dumb as fuck they are.

There's another side of it too, when Ifans use gay as a way to dismiss a guy's sexuality.  Like, Trouble Maker for example.  If I had a dollar for every dismissive Omona comment about HS being gay, I'd buy another copy of Pentagon's Ceremony lol.  They got a little silent after the MAMA 2012 performance, which was funny.  Though I remember finding a thread where people were literally arguing that he didn't have a boner, but something about the pants.  To which I said somewhere, if you think that, you've literally never seen a dick in real life.

Then, the most recent example is what is that stupid site?  Seoul Beats or something where they write all this faux!Deep opinion crap?  Yeah, someone was asking why Suga's answer in an interview wasn't made a big deal of other than by ifans.  And excellently enough, the top reply was: because Ifans are blindly believing a wrong translation.  A translation from Japanese to Korean to English, which implied that Suga said he didn't care about gender in a romantic partner.  However, as multiple people in the comments pointed out, the translation was highly wrong and what he said was basically that he always looks at personality first and not just for romantic partners.

But Ifans have ran with this crap.  I've seen so many idiots saying that he's gay or bi based on this erroneous translation.  I found one Tumblr where a fan has Suga as her fave based on her mistaken assumption that he's bi.  Ifans are always arrogantly believing that they have the truth of everything, or things that they don't like or find problematic are also considered to be such in Korea or Japan or whatever and it's just not the case.  I don't understand how you can be into another culture's entertainment scene and not bother to correct your ignorance on the culture itself.

Since everyone's talking about Hyunseung and Cube and where is Trouble Maker and all that crap, I have to put my two cents down.  I've been watching all this for awhile, obviously lol.  Tbh, before Shinhwa's Return, the whole TM thing is kinda what made me peep into Kpop a little more bc I was so surprised they'd have a co-ed group.  I didn't know anything about Beast or Hyuna.  Anyway.  Hyunseung has obviously always been a little weird, for lack of a better word (lmao maybe understatement of the century Idk), but it was pretty obvious that his attitude around Beast starting in mid to late 2015 had kinda gone downhill.  They barely paid attention to him and he looked like he'd rather be anywhere else.

/musical interlude

I know Kpop fans are delulu to the max and want to 100% believe every time their idol says oh we're not dating, or i'm not dating, plus their love of ridiculous gay ships, but the fact is, your idol bbs are lying to you bc they don't want to be stalked or their gfs attacked or lose popularity with their rabid delulu fans who think they're gonna marry 'em someday.  But I digress.

/end interlude

SO!  MY theory is that his attitude and the reason that Trouble Maker will never come back as him + Hyuna is bc those two were together and that was the year they broke up.  Obviously I have no /proof/ proof, but there's a few little clues that seem really obvious to me.  First of all, the way Hyunseung acted in later 2015 through 2016 was very much like a guy who's been dumped (I knew a guy who acted almost exactly like that after a breakup).  Moody, irritated, not caring about his appearance or anything else really.  Doing sort of extreme things, staying out of the public eye.  Maybe he couldn't deal with that and being an idol at the same time, who knows.

To me, it was pretty extremely obvious that they were together through most of Trouble Maker.  At the very least, you can contrast how Hyuna acts with the two Pentagon guys.  Not even CLOSE to the same level of touching and comfort as she was clearly enjoying with Hyunseung lol.  Unless those two were literally the best actors in the world (v.doubtful), they were absolutely fucking.  There were so many clues too, the way she looked at him all the damn time for one thing.  The choreo, that Now dance practice could not have been more obvious, HS's extremely obvious boner at the Mamas in what, 2012 or smth, plus the entire choreo of THAT performance.  Like, that's just a few examples.

THEN, what actually even started me down this ~conspiracy~ path was when I watched a recent Weekly Idol where Triple H appeared.  Did you see how shook Hyuna was when they played Trouble Maker?  Like, she literally froze, deer in the headlights style.  And you can't even say it was too old.  Because Bubble Pop came out in 2011 and she did that one just fine.  Not only did she not care to remember the Trouble Maker dances, but her response when the hosts asked her about it.  She basically brushed it off like, what's Trouble Maker?  I'm Triple H now.  Who does that unless they have some major hmmm negative feelings towards the other part of the unit.  Like, it was only four years ago lady.

Also, Trouble Maker was wildly popular in spite of the haters.  Would Cube seriously just let it go after two albums unless there were some serious problems between the members?  Honestly, the most maddening thing about it is that they should have shielded HS in some way from the repercussions of his behavior.  Obviously he was having a hard time and that's kind of their job to protect him.  They really half-assed it.  They said he had permission to miss things, then they said there was no way he was leaving and then oop he's leaving.

Idk what in the holy heck they're doing with him now.  Like, why did they even bother resigning him if they weren't going to give him a chance to do music how he wants to do it.  Instead floating around all this 3-member Beast nonsense and giving literally no information about his comeback.  I mean, yes, they could be quietly recording, but where's the promotion?  It's like, other than desperate Hyunseung fans (like yours truly), who's gonna even know?

Ugh, this is a long-ass blog, I'll stop now lol.

That gun icon is appropriate.  I'm so fucking annoyed at my netbook because the Dropbox program or something keeps stalling on it and it doesn't sync my files so then I shut it down and get on my desktop computer and a bunch of shit hasn't updated and I'm just like asldkjflskjflksdj jinjja ugh.

I'm also really irritated at myself for not starting a particular project.  I have all these ideas and notes and whatnot, but for some reason I canNOT make myself start it and I want to throw something at myself.  Somehow lol.

Random...one of the (many) reasons I like Suga is that he always seems to have this look like he's putting up with some shit and is not entirely happy about it.  Cracks me up.

I don't like to buy singles anymore. And Hilcrhyme's singles are never on the web anymore for whatever reason. But last year I found Jigsaw Puzzle on YT and just converted them to MP3 and used MP3Gain on it if necessary. So I've been looking for NEW DAY, NEW WORLD, that is, the b-side. I found the a-side months ago when it came out, but eventually deleted it because I didn't like the quality. Today I do a search for it and I find the b-side on NicoNico. Amazingly also find a converter and the quality is pretty damn good. Also, awesome song amazingly, but I digress. So I'm like, ok, I have the single now. Lemme just go find the a-side real quick. :D

Wrong. All the PVs have since been removed and I can't find it anywhere. Ha hah. D: I finally downloaded the whole PV somewhere and converted that. Still crappy, but MP3Gain made it listenable. Ok, but here's the lesson on this. For record companies and retailers and whoever else. You think that if you ban downloading (i.e. no one uploaded this single in a CD rip), that people will buy your shit, but then you make it difficult for them. I.e. I can't just sashay over to Amazon Japan and buy the MP3s, nope nope nope, because apparently I have to live in JAPAN to do that. No, they want me to buy the whole hard copy and pay twice what it's worth in shipping just to get two songs.  Uh huh. :|

Ha hah? No.  Not funny, and  I didn't do that. I patiently waited for someone to put the thing up in streaming form and then snatched it. I can hear the song, it's good enough for me at the moment and it will probably be on the album whenever that comes out as well. At no point did I ever consider buying the hard copy. All you did, by not allowing evil foreigners to download and PAY for the music, was lose however much yen two songs are worth because I snatched it for free.  Good luck with that business model.

That's why I don't feel bad or particularly sorry for these companies mostly futilely trying to stop downloading.  Because they aren't making it easy for people to buy their shit.  No instead they're being really fucking stupid while whining that everyone's taking things for free.

Tl;dr - I would have bought this single if you had let me, but you didn't, so I didn't.
