So I've made it through the EXO, Pentagon and BAP comebacks lol. First, I suck at MVs. I just...never find them that gripping. Even from my favorite groups. I might watch them around five times AT MOST. Stages are my thing so I'm mostly waiting for a chance to watch those. But in terms of the music and whatnot...

EXO obviously only had three songs. Power was not exactly what I expected, but my gosh it was sticky af. LIke, I was barely paying attention to it when I watched the MV but it was in my head afterwords. Nevertheless, it's not my favorite. That title goes to Boomerang, which is the kind of song like Ko Ko Bop that I can binge on. Whhich, lol, apparently a certain section of the fandom *coughomonacough* hates Ko Ko Bop. Somehow I think it has very little to do with the actual song, but I digress. Sweet Lies is apparently the fandom fave and lmao, no. It's so boring. It's not even Chill levels. It's no different than half their disco of ballads that I skiiip. It's sad, bc they obviously have some really good vocalists in Baekhyun and Chen, but they honestly don't do a good job showcasing them.

Unlike Pentagon who have Hui and Jinho and their ballads typically do NOT feature overuse of falsetto. So their MV was honestly boring and some combo of Save Me, Not Today and at least a couple of GOT7 MVs lol. I've seen it before. The song was...nice. I really liked 오늘까지만 the most on the album, followed by the rapline's song.  I'm waiting for some better stages, but right now I'm underwhelmed by the choreo too. =/

BAP's single was solid.  Didn't bother watching the MV but I'll definitely be watching the stages.  Oh yeah just watched the Honeymoon one, super epic.  Jongup and Yongguk dude.

In boring things...( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)  Those BTS teasers lol.

Ok, so to me, a bias wrecker is a guy who is completely not my type in any way shape or form, but he keeps fucking interfering in the standom of my ultimate bias lol.  And to me, there is no one who completely embodies that term like Hui from Pentagon.  I have a type, I've always had a type and Edawn is absolutely my bias in Pentagon for many many reasons, but Hui, with his stupid fucking awesome voice and then doing things like in that Heyo TV thing.  My understanding of Korean is limited, but essentially it seemed like he was supposed to do a sexy dance, and he protested about this like it was sugoi embarrassing.  Then the next thing you know he's up there doing this 19+ shit and it's super fucking hot and I'm like WTAF.

But he does crap like that all the time.  Usually it has something to do with his vocals, because I admit, I am a secret vocal stan.  Hui reminds me of every choir nerd I've ever known and he's so flawfree when it comes to just randomly singing and his vocals are stroooong boy.  Like, that is one of my main secret bitches about Kpop is how many just straight weak vocalists there are.  Like, they sound alright and shit on recordings and even sometimes live, but when it comes to power?  It's not there.  It's like someone who's just starting singing and they have no confidence or something, Idek, but Hui isn't like that and it literally slays me.

He'll just randomly start singing parts with no accompaniment or anything and sounds pretty much perfect.  Admittedly, Jinho has some of this same ability, but I think I really feel attacked by Hui because he's so completely not my type, plus, when he wants to, he can dance really well too.  I always lean towards dancers too, so like fuck him for being so awesome at both lmao.

Ahahah, I just listened to the new songs on Monsta X's repackage and I now know why I've never gotten super into them.  They're pretty much trying to be BTS.  It's hard to get super into a group that doesn't sound like they're doing their own thing.  I'm not even a crazy BTS stan, not even close, but halfway through Shine Forever, I thought I was listening to BTS.  Really haven't been listening to much else except Pentagon and Triple H, though I did decide to try Seventeen and SF9 bc why not?  I don't really care how huge a group is that I only listen to the music for.  Also the Jinwoon single, who is officially the first Kpop person I ever gave a crap about, even though he doesn't make pop music lol.

Seems like a crapload of comebacks in the next month or so.  I have peeped:

- Hyunseung
- Hotshot
- GOT7 (rumor stages but it seems likely)
- Halo
- Up10tion

Also thought I saw somewhere that BTS was gearing up for a comeback.  Ok, I like BTS's music and I kinda stan Suga, but they're honestly not one of my bias groups.  Mainly because I've always found it REALLY hard to like groups heavily in the spotlight, because it creates crazy-ass fans and their fandom is one of THE most annoying forreal.  Plus, obviously to bias a Kpop group, you kinda have to be into more than their music and honestly, they come off kinda fake to me.  Overly bubbly and cute, which doesn't go with their music at all and for some reason that really bugs me.

That's why I like GOT7 and Pentagon as my main biases.  GOT7 guys have actually said they won't do any cute concepts and they obviously all hate shipping, which warms my cold heart like nothing else lmao.  Their music is weird, but I like weird so that doesn't bother me either.  Pentagon also has a rather unique sound with all the brassy accents and such.  Further, they are all insanely talented. Hui catapults them into being the best vocal line in Kpop imo, and their rappers are solid too, at the very least unique considering Edawn's chipmunk act lol.  And again, they seem pretty normal offstage.  Ok, I am an admitted Edawn stan, but if there was ever a bias wrecker it's Hui, bc I can't ignore his talent lol.  He's always spontaneously singing offstage and he always sounds strong and flawless.  I've seen other singers do that and at the very least, they often sound weak and quiet like they're unsure of themselves.

Anyway I guess I like Seventeen now dammit lol.

I don't understand the hype over NCT 127 at ALL. I guess this is why SM antis hate SM stans so much bc they really are ridiculous.  I'm not so much an SM anti, I can't be since I like Taemin, SHINee and NCT 127 (yes I like them, but I also think they're overrated), but I definitely don't like the company either based on what they did to the Chinese Exo members for example, plus, other than giving most of their idols decent vocal training, what do they do that's so unique?  I don't hear/see anything.  But back to NCT 127.  I can't believe the constant splooge over this group when I see very little that sets them apart from any other group with three minis to their name.  The new one, Cherry Bomb, was probably their best so far, though the title track was boring af.  Video was also boring af.  Rn, they would get my vote as the top most overrated new Kpop group.

Anyway, Jongup finally started his promotions and amg that first stage was super hot.  Not much new from Pentagon yet.  I've watched I think two perfs of their new song, but it could have been the same one aired by different networks I'm not sure lol.  I need more bc I love that choreo sfm.  YesAsia finally has all my Pentagon stuff in too so hopefully it will ship soon ahahah.  Fingers super crossed that I get Edawn in any member specific crap. Was trying to figure out where this addiction lies on my Kpop addiction scale. I'm not sure, but I think it's trending towards pretty epic. Probably second only to GOT7.

Dragged myself away from Kpop on YT last night to watch the new Lookout eps.  Show is flawfree.  Kim Young Kwang is so perfect in this role, his expressions are so sinister.  Plus I love how he goes from annoying ditz to ruthless guy bent on revenge.  I haven't caught up with Mask at all.  Who knows when/if I will.

Warriors won the Finals a few days ago.  People who think sports are rigged are really amusing.  Short of some vast amazing conspiracy, it's a lot less possible than you think.  THere's a lot of freaking variables, especially in baseball, but honestly, in every sport.  To imagine that people are playacting it takes a mighty big stretch of the imagination.  And people who think this have no evidence except for what, coaches having military backgrounds?  Like, what?  You don't think that might help in managing large groups of alpha males and concocting strategies? Nah.

Now, do I think there's some attempt at fixing going on in certain games? Absolutely.  Nothing is ever as pure as you want it to be. Nothing.

Kpop fans remain the actual worst. Both I and K, tbh.  I don't follow Suju at all, but the ridiculous attempt to get one of the members kicked out for getting married is so absurd.  It's similar to what Kfans did to Hyunseung to get him out of B2ST.  Then, over to the Ifan side. Which tbh, i think this group is worse than Kfans for the most part.  They're going after Jackson for wearing dreads in a commercial.  Don't even get me started on how stupid this is.  You don't think there's hundreds of Asians walking around wearing this type of hairstyle?  HOW does it affect you?  It doesn't.  Like I've said before, re:these stupid scandals. You call me when any of them commit an actual crime.  Everything else is just entitled behavior from fans.  Just stop policing behavior, forreal.  Idc whether it's someone's age gap relationship, or what someone writes in a piece of fiction (i.e. songs) or anything else.  Just STOP.  Mind your own business.  It's really not fucking hard.

In less stupid things, I have definitely turned into a Pentagon stan.  I was all over that new release.  Watched the MV multiple times, listened to the album multiple times, etc.  Waiting for the stages now, though I did watch the showcase and ahhhhh the choreo is so awesome.  I love how they combined all these retro dance moves with new/original stuff.  Edawn is such a good dancer too.  He moves very effortlessly.  His rap part was nice and annoying, just how I like ahahah.

And yet, somehow I had to go and check out their Japanese release, well sorta.  I almost always avoid Kpop releases in Japanese bc they usually suck so much.  There were only two new songs and Hikari was boring, but I am OBSESSED with Get Down.  Mostly bc Edawn has several parts and he sounds just like he does in Korean.  I mean, honestly, his speaking voice is kinda deep so it's really a skill in and of itself that he can keep that fake voice on a consistent basis.  It actually cracks me up.

The sudden Pentagon standom is more or less due to the Triple H thing.  It made me realize how talented Hui and Edawn are and then I just fell all the way for the rest of the group.
